Helping Frontline Workers Feel Right at Home
It’s always been important for us to find ways to give back to our communities. In an unprecedented time of need, we wanted to find a way to help improve the lives of frontline workers. That’s why we’re so excited to share our latest project, helping the staff at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC, feel right at home in newly furnished lounges.
With $32,000 of new Urban Barn furniture, we helped make over lounges for Lions Gate’s Respiratory Therapists and Operating Room staff. More than ever, Canadians in the healthcare industry deserve a comfortable space to recharge and relax, and we’re happy our furniture will be a part of giving these frontline workers a much-needed moment of rest.
To make the most of time spent in the staff lounges, our donation included some of our most lounge-friendly furniture, like the Graham Leather Relaxer Sofa, complete with power footrests that make it easy for hardworking staff to put their feet up. Perfect for a moment of rest, the Pearson Reclining Sofa comes with dual power footrests and headrests. And for a touch of mid-century style, we sent sofas and chairs from our Savoy Collection, all made in Canada and upholstered in top-grain leather. We wanted the accompanying tables to be all about form and function. Our Northwood Coffee and Side tables have plenty of storage space, and the Madera Nesting Table is easy to expand and contract as needed.
